This Privacy Policy explains what information MVisor ("the app") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. MVisor is developed and published by Digital Star Apps. By installing or using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
Usage & diagnostic data. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both operated by Google) to understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. This may include your device model, OS version, app version, approximate (country/region-level) location derived from IP address, session length, and in-app events. Crash reports may include a stack trace and the app state at the time of the crash. This data is tied to an anonymous installation identifier, not to your name or email.
Permissions & On-Device Data
- Usage Access: lets MVisor detect which app is currently in the foreground so it can show the lock screen. This runs entirely on your device — the list of apps you open is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
- Accessibility Service: used to detect app switches and enforce the app lock at the moment a locked app is opened. Processed on-device only, in real time; no accessibility event data is stored or sent anywhere.
- VPN Service (local only): powers per-app network blocking. MVisor creates a local, loopback VPN interface on your device to selectively allow or block internet access for apps you choose — no network traffic is routed through any external server, and we cannot see your browsing activity.
- Device Admin: optional "Uninstall Guard" that requires deactivation before MVisor can be uninstalled. No data is collected by this permission.
- PIN & biometrics: your app-lock PIN and any biometric unlock (fingerprint/face) are handled by Android's own secure APIs (Keystore / BiometricPrompt) and never leave your device — MVisor does not see or store your raw biometric data.
Advertising
The app may display ads served by Google AdMob. If ads are active, AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization for this identifier in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads. Ads may be enabled or disabled remotely by Digital Star Apps at any time.
Purchases
If the app offers a paid subscription or in-app purchase, it is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Digital Star Apps does not receive or store your payment card details — only an entitlement status (e.g. "subscribed") is used to unlock features.
How We Use This Information
- To keep the app working — update checks, crash diagnosis, and bug fixes.
- To understand which features are used, so we can improve the app.
- To serve and measure ads, where applicable.
- To provide the remote kill-switch / force-update safety mechanisms described in the app's release notes.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Services
The app relies on the following third-party processors, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Realtime Database, Hosting) — Google LLC
- Google AdMob — Google LLC (only if ads are enabled)
- Google Play Billing — Google LLC (only if purchases are offered)
Data Retention & Deletion
On-device data (settings, preferences, cached content described above) stays on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Aggregated analytics and crash data are retained by Google/Firebase per their standard retention windows. Children's Privacy
MVisor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We rely on Google Firebase's infrastructure and industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights & Choices
- Disable ad personalization in your device's ad settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
- Contact us to ask what data we hold or to request deletion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
